    After shooting land around Canterbury

Hey Cantabreans (sp??) and those in the vicinity.

I was wondering if anyone knew of our had a farm/lifestyle block they dont mind myself and MissSniper shooting on? Bunnies and possums are always fun, but I was wanting to teach MissSniper how to shoot properly and just shoot small defenceless animals.

I will be using nothing bigger than a 7.62 but it would be mainly .22.

I have hunted on a number of farms in Nelson, Blenheim and Rai Valley and I havent shot anyone to date. I have another block Im meant to start bunny control on fairly shortly (Read: Once the guy gets his arse into gear and organises it)

Just putting feelers out, we have a beautiful country and considering its Spring, I need to go out and kill some of it

Just about any farm you approach would be interested, just headout for a drive around the areas that appeal to you and call in on farms, it's better to approach them in person than by phone.

They won't let you near the place if your using centre fire rifles, apart from 22-250, .17/.22 Hornet etc or shotguns

Fark we got rid of those pricks years ago sent them packing up to Auckland plus Burton the man behind the bitch was one of very very few farmers to go Bankrupt during the 80s, they ended up on a small lifestyle block on the outskirts of Ashburton and still had to have people come in & maintain it

Yea I might do that, but I have met some interesting farming types who insist I take their kids out and all sorts of shit.

Also, you dont admit you will use center fire rifles and if I do (just to hone my skills) I'll fit my silencer.

Nothing bigger than a 7.62? What else do you own, a Walker Bulldog?

Whew. The locals can sleep safely in their beds then. WTF roams the steppes of Canterbury that requires a 7.62 to bring it down?

Must have way better sights than the ones the NZ Army used to use. There was certainly nothing "surgical" about the way they neutered things at 700m...

This is a private rifle, I had my own setup in the army and on my 700 I have my own setup too. Much like most other NZ'ers and even ex army guys
