    motu you're awesome!!!!!i have 3 stray males,2 who have been with me ten years!!and one has 6 toes on his feet........they definatly choose their owners and mother cat is a very lucky lady!!!!!!im sure your expectant grandchild will be fine if grandad is this clucky!!!!!!!

    I've seen the 6 toed cats,apparently they are sorta common on Great Barrier,the gene has more of a chance to spread I guess.

    yeah, I grew up on the barrier (believe it or not) and we had one of these cats - a pure white mutant of a cat with 6 toes called "mittens". He was awesome - they arent just extra toes they are apposable thumbs. He could get into anything, would regularly raid tupperware containers for food.

    It's alright thanks. We just got rid of our 20 year old female to a good home this last weekend. Guess what .... ? We have a 23 year old female still home and tomoroow she is scheduled to produce a 0 day old female. Ho hum. The numbers don't change ... just the ages.
