    WIMA

For those gals out there that didnt know there is a motorbike club for us of the 'superior' sex

    http://www.wima.org.nz/

The membership is small..from my recollection 30 odd members in Auckland which is equal with Wellington numbers. We meet once a month for a ride and chin wag and a relaxed ride. Bikes of all sizes and speeds and all new members are welcome in fact we pride ourselves on getting new lady riders into riding instead of being a pillion. On a good day we even allow the husbands and BFs to ride a along as long as they behave.

PM me if any of you wanna go along to an Auckland ride ....

WIMA sounds like a good avenue for you lady bikers!

How are you handling all that power in your new SV650 MadDuck? Quite a step up from your previous wheels, I'd say it would throw you back if you gave it heaps of throttle!

I'm a member of WIMA Wellington but I've never managed to get on a ride or go to a club meeting yet! Are you going to the November Rally MD?

It's funny how people assume if you ride and are female you're a DOB aye!

My wife tried joining WIMA but in the end couldn't, they stuffed her around so much she told them to get stuffed, there is no branch in tauranga, so she would help start one up. But they wouldn't reply to her emails, even send them snail mail leters, and nothing.

If Marion the Auckland rep got wind of the hassles your wife had, she would set things straight for her. Your wife sounds like a gem being prepared to
put time into a Tauranga branch. Well thats a loss!
