I finally got around to filling it up and running it to reserve. Hit 288km before i had to switch to reserve. This is either 16.8 km/L or 19km/L not too sure as i wasn't empty when i filled it up and the tank is either 17 litres or 15 to reserve. Not too impressed with the mileage i think i should stop cruising at 120 as this has the revs up a bit too high.

Well, we put a noisy pipe on my 250 and I've been blipping on downshifts and generally hooning around on it since.... MAN! Did it eat into my fuel economy, or what? Before, I was getting anywhere from 350 to 400km on my 17litre tank! Now, I ran it out at 322km...

Seem to be hitting 17 km/l on my 87 VTZ250, 90% open road.

Would have hoped for more :-/

Pretty Consistent 5 litres per 100km on my GPX 250
It only does worse if I take it out and thrash it on the back roads.

Round town, pretty brisk riding and it sticks around 5.
Does about 280km on 14 Litres which ends up being 47 MPG

Certainly beats my car in both time and economy, car is no less than 10 litres per 100, I spend more time finding a park and walking to where i gotta go.
Bike lets me be a little too lazy and a little too late.

Don't rev it above 8000 and you should get into the 300's easy Makes riding a bit dull though.

That's interesting. I put a straight-thru Cycleworks pipe on my GT250R and it had virtually no effect on the fuel-consumption - still getting 430km+ from the 17L tank. (Did you make any other changes, apart from enjoying the wonderful noise the twin makes?) DJ
