Sounds like I should trade mine in for a Hyo. The fuel light comes on at around 250km at the latest on my bike

Hit a new record today. 320 km before hitting reserve.
That's at least 60mpg although probably a bit more.
    Around 4-4.5 litres per 100km
    21-24 km per litre.

Very surprised by this seeing as i spent a lot more time up over 9000.

I'm now getting closer to 25K/L - I pulled off the choke cable back to the splitter, I think that was the problem, cable a bit stiff and must have made the choke permanently open a crack.

How far should my 250 hornet be getting off a tank of gas? It'll let me put about 10 litres in if I ran into reserve and I only get about 140-150kms out of the tank, I ride conservative usually, but It's quite a step from the 350 I used to get from my Hyosung

So from full to when you need to switch to reserve, you're only getting 150k's?

First thing, check your choke cable for free movement etc, if the choke is stuck on it will be gulping down gas, probably halving your milage.

I didn't buy it for it's fuel economy, but . . . if I'm just cruising, the CR will do roughly 50ks from 6 litres, so that's about 8km per litre or 19mpg.

You road guys have got it far too easy.
    I told him,
"Son, what is it with you? Is it ignorance or apathy?"

    He said,
    "Coach, I don't know and I don't care."

i get about 400 to 430 ks out of a tank on my hyosung but that depends on riding conditions and the wind.
