the virago costs roughly $10 to fill...maybe more if i let it hit reserve, and will net me around 200k open road. coming back from the burt munro rally, i topped it right up in invers, and then every 200k after that. [ie, invers to dunedin etc] with the last price rise, i was literally racing it up the south island, hoping to get home before it did. lol. i lost in chch.

Some-one must be sneaking in and filling my gas tank up with petrol when I'm not looking.

A litre of petrol regularly takes me 30 - 40 km on my bike. Its used for commuting and going down the beach fishing. I've only done 500km, but it is pretty consistant. (LF200 GY)

25-28km/l, but less now I'm riding harder (so to speak...)

    Not 250's but for comparison:

Just came back from a trip to Whakatane.
Wifey's Buell Blast (500cc single) got about 30km per litre and my KTM 950 SM got about 19km/litre.

My old KTM 640SM (625cc single) used to get about 25km/ litre when cruising or about 16km / litre when thrashed.

However, my KTM 950SM fuel consumption goes WAYYY down when I trash it, probably below 10km/litre

if anyones still interested my cbr250 used to get 20km/L and that was with alot of high speed driving. that was on 96, but i've just changed to 91, hope i've got enough fuel to get into town now, didn't think 91 wouldn't go as far. least 250's are easy to push i guess!

I'm getting roughly 13km/lt on my GSX-R250 and that's pretty slugish riding with the occational rev here and there. I'm looking at getting a carb kit, we'll see what that does.

I roughly worked out on my old CBR it did 18km/L

The RG does like 10km/L, thirsty bugger. One of my arguments trying to convince my parents to let me get a 600, it'll be cheaper to run

Well, I'll conduct a milage trial during my pootling runs on Friday and Saturday with the bikes that turn up. Get everyone to hand in their fuel receipts and litres used so some ad hoc data can be bunged up!

I'll designate some poor hapless fool to be the organiser for this!

I got around 23-24 with a mixture of city and motorway on my GB 250 ( same as a CBX250RS ). So in REAL numbers thats around 65-66 miles to the ( imperial ) gallon.
