I can only repeat the comments I am surprised at the figures - I get around 17 - 20 km/l on the GS1200ss (on the open road) depending on whether I am caning it or cruising. I expected better figures from the 250's

I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe.
Getting 250-280km before I hit the reserve on the CBR. Over 25km/L for a mixture of motorway and inner city is normal (pillioning half the distance too).
about 17km/L on my Bandit
Im getting about 23-25km/l out of the SRX, havent really done a full tank of open road thou, most of mine is just getting in and out of town.
I wonder if the cyclinder configuration eg single, v tiwn, IL4, has more of an influence than the same 250cc rating. My reasoning being that IL4's would seem to use more fuel more often with the ~18k revs they get up 2 versus the 7-8k i give the SRX max
ive found mines almost as economical as the ginny i had, prob bout 200 maybe a lil more before hitting reserve which i dont use anyway cause for some reason it doesnt work![]()
I lost my licence and i havent riddin all month!!!- YEAH RIGHT
17km/l on the zxr, i do a lot of commutingbut im sure it would be better on the open road
a while back i was getting 11km/l cos she was running lean but i got the carbys tickled and now i get waaaaaaay better mileage or kilometerage
i have managed 295km out of a tank on the ZXR250A theoretically that is 17km/L but it was pretty nana-ish riding.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
i bet you were shitting yourself that you were gonna run out of gas
luckily i only worked around the corner from the gas station. But yep, as i pulled in and looked in the tank there was no 'swish' noise when i wobbled the bike... was running it on what was left in the fuel hose and carbs!![]()

My cbr250r did 220 kms on bout 16l of 98 and that was the same for highway and city rides.
I get 16km a litre if im a nanna but otherwise 11.5-12km/litre when having a play (new R6 to race with.... well, keep up with nowadays lol)
It's cool using more gas than others on a 250! Makes you think how inefficient they are. constant 16-19krpm makes for poor energy percentage availablity to wheels
