There was a Major in the medics whose name was Paine, an unfortunate whose name was Rea, rank Gunner, and finally the guy who ran the Morgue was Dr Dearthe.
I kid you not, these are all real people in NZ.
My favourite was a kid at a school in Mangere whose parents called him Ma Ngere.
Now I know Mangere means 'lazy' in maori but jeezzus that's taking it a bit far isn't it?
