Dont be too hard on him Nikkas....all the time while waiting for the ambo he was saying he knew exactly what he did wrong and how stupid it was. Seven years and he never put a scratch on that Busa...until now. He was really gutted about taking out another rider too. I hope he makes a full recovery, very sad to see any biker down. And the Kber involved...I wish you all the best too. It's been said that bad things come in threes, so I hope this is the last of your woes. Get well soon mate

From this Poker Run I can't stress how important it is to RIDE AT YOUR OWN PACE! When someone passes you, let them go! It's not worth your life to be the fastest. There's more fun than you can poke a stick at on our roads without going overboard and getting out of control. Competition is for the track only! It's a lot cheaper to buy a little race bike and do your best on a track than it is to try and race on public roads. If/when you do come off you're not going to be stopped by trees/powerpoles/ditches/cars/trucks or buses. Sorry to rant people but that crash was a wake-up call for me! I'll stop now.

Dunno how the Busa rider is doing...but I sure hope he makes a full recovery... did talk to the guy on the R1 when he arrived back at camp. I think his name was Darryl? He was a bit stunned but apart from some swelling on his back ( where he hit the tree!) he was miraculously unscathed, f**ken amazing when you consider that the Busa LANDED on the front of his bike!
Shit happens! The good thing is that there was no loss of life ;-)
As for the ride... well yee bloody ha! There was definately a 'safety in numbers, cops won't bother us' attitude and I am not ashamed to admit that I took full advantage of that fact! Absolutely thrashed the bike!!!!!
Anyways the Rally was great, a big thumbs up to the Coastal Cruisers for all the effort put into it!
I wasn't there for Friday nite but was told the bands were great, well they were certainly fantastic on the Saturday night and I partied til the bitter end!
Oh and BTW, the topless barmaids were a joke, I've seen bigger tits on blokes! Still good for a laugh tho! Afterall a REAL biker do wouldn't be complete without tits and ass! There was even a "bra fence"... hahaha 1 of the Cruisers tried his damndest to talk me into contributing mine! I don't think so buddy, your're not getting your mits on this Elle Macpherson bra!
Oh yeah, nearly forgot, yrs truely won the $100 pre-rego prize, SWEET, that paid for my booze...
    Bloody good time had
