    Leigh-Smith in 125GP

I see Blake leigh-smith in the 125GP came 22nd in Japan, very good for first time on the KTM! I remember him at our Ruapuna round of the nationals, he was amazing!!! was finishing over half a lap ahead of Andy Evans and Cameron Horgan, and looked like he was puttering. He must be so stoked to have that KTM ride! good on him!

He got the KTM ride after the incumbent was injured at malaysia. He was offered the ride in the week leading up to philip island and was from PI through to the last round at valencia. Yeah he's been doing pretty well. Althought its still very hard to tell how good he actually is. Before he got the KTM ride he was consistently running around 20th to 25th in the spanish 125 championships.

At nationals you couldn't really compare him to Andy or Cam. His bike was a fully spec'd out 05 with A-kit engine and top of the line suspension (aswell as everything else). Not trying to downplay his results but still very hard to gauge how good he actually is when there wasn't anything to compare him with. He didnt beat Steve Wards lap record (which was set on a 96 I believe) and most definately didn't have even half of the "go fast" bits blakes bike had.
