Just borrowed Firefly the entire series from Maverick - enjoyed it a lot. Don't know about saying what's the best and what's not - voted Star Wars coz I remember watching the first one in 1977 in a cinema and was totally gobsmacked for years afterwards - Star Trek was enjoyable but not Gobsmacking. They are so different from each other - Star Wars is very finite in it's scope having a clearly defined beginning and end where as Star Trek is a constantly evolving thing - I mean look at the Klingons then and now..."We don't talk about it" was the only reference I saw to it - cop out or what? Too many episodes and films of Star Trek too - got fed up trying to follow them all - takes up too much life methinks.

Books are best - try the Gap series by Stephen Donaldson - good reading - and people don't stand on the floor of a spaceship in deep space either!

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

    Go the Dark Empire!

Any film which has The Empire Strikes Back and the main man Boba Fett will always get my vote! I'm still in awe of what SW is and has contributed, the countless in-jokes I've seen referencing it and the nerdy conversations I've overheard (and participated in) will always be part of me.

Don't get me wrong, I love everything that uses (quote : Spongebob Squarepants) "Immmmaaaggggginnnnaaaatioooon!" but if'n I could only take one film to watch for all time on a deserted island...TESB is it.

    Die Wanna Wanga?

(I've just finished reading The Bounty Hunter War series and now onto "Tales from Jabba's Palace")

    And oh yeah, Klaatu...Barada...Nikto!

My vote is for Stargate SG1.

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

Hell Yeah! I liked Space Commander Travis especially. Who knew anyone called Travis could be so frightening? And Servalan, I still have a thing for women with short hair because of her. Wait a minute, Servelan is Helen Clark!
