i paid $4900.
i know thats quite a lot , but for me it was a good deal as its from a dealer with a warranty etc.which makes me feel more comfortable about buying a 16 year old bike as i dont know much about them!

This was my first sport bike - i still twist my neck from drooling when one goes past, so how's that for knowing you've got a stylie bike! I've upgraded to the 400 version now, but don't bother - not much difference between them, and the plastics aren't as hot!
Anyways, you'll build up strength in wrists/neck/torso etc as you ride more and more and find comfy riding positions (I find toes on pegs are more comfy than flat footed if that helps?)
Have fun!![]()
$4900 ain't too bad for a CBR from a dealer.. Depends on the K's its done I guess.
The sore wrists and back do go eventually. Try just fiddling about in the seat, I find moving back a bit on mine makes me brace a bit more on the pegs and takes a bit of weight off my arms.
Oh yeah, Welcome to the group![]()
Yeah, I've actually got a third CBR in bits that HDTBoy had modified to go faster, but don't bother the best modification you can do is put on a set of either GPR70's or BT090's and improve your skills... that is the biggest modification to a bike... you.
I raced with standard everything, the suspension is soft as hell, but that's the way I like it, because I'm so used to the bike like that.
Yeah $4900 these days for a CBR250RR is a steal. I paid $5g nearly 3 years ago for my one, but they've gone up heaps since then... I should be able to sell both for $5g, as they've both got about 30,000k's on them... depends if I can get my favourite (raced) one running smooth again.
dude you got a good deaL for that price,,i paid 7k but the trade in with my gn helpd.
I lost my licence and i havent riddin all month!!!- YEAH RIGHT

yeah well with the prices it aint too bad.its got rough body work though which is why it wasnt 6-7g.
26km also.
yeah ive got a book on riding which goes into good detail about setting up suspension which im going to have a good read of

7kdealers are immoral, you can get a 900 fireblade for that money. yes, good tyres would be the best mod and I would like to uprate the fork springs at some stage.
I paid $1250 for my bike. I guess I should have got CBR, whos needs awesome brakes, a GP chassis, and twice the power anyway?
uhhh they got the same brakes same chassis only diff is the motor an if you got the money to keep it running good onya.i love nsrs my mate has one aswell they all good, much of a muchness,i like th cbr looks.

CBR250RR(L+N+R) : 275mm Dual disc, 2 piston Hydraulic callipers
MC21 : double discs ( 276 m.m. ) with four-piston calipers
Chassis is different.
