Personally I cant stand fireworks now.

In my area they are let off for months and months afterwards and from the day of sale. So I am sick of them for that reason.
Why should I have to keep my cat in for months on end cos of these fireworks.

They cost a heap of money for so little return.

When I drove my car I had to drive with all the windows up cos the f*ckers would aim them at the open windows.
The f*ckers now aim them at the bikes now as well.

The HUGE bang is like a friggen bomb going off.....

So many kiddies are hurt each year cos the adults arent supervising them.

So as long as the people aren't being responsible, then ban them.
Only have organised nights that you can all go as a family and watch them....

Why the hell should the firemen and firewomen spend all their time putting out flaming fires that some twat lit or from a firework gone wrong... they are needed for more important jobs.

It has been on the cards for years to have them banned.

Fuck em, fireworks are used to make alot of animals lives hell so other animals get some kicks every year. I know I dont like being shot at or burned, I say its about time we gave the loud shooting fireworks a rest.

A large proportion of them are volunteers. Who miss out on enjoying the fireworks themselves, because they're too busy trying to save tracts of bush, people's houses etc from the idiots.

Agreed, there are idiots out there.

But,

If individuals continue to disregard responsibility and accountability and if society keeps changing the laws to accomodate these individuals what the hell is this country going to look like in 15 years time?
