Book review: America - A Citizens Guide to Democracy In Action
So today, I find myself unable to stomach the talkback discussions on Labours million dollar rort, so I am listening to an audiobook (now that's multitasking).
Written by the team who write The Daily Show and featuring John Stewart, this light-hearted look at the American system of government and it's history is suprisingly informative.
Keeping the humour alive, it delves into the murky past and reveals why the founding fathers wouldn't be able to be re-elected today due to their hygiene, honesty and sexual diseases and even informs us which of the founding mothers were their eras FMILFs.
So if you want to knowthe answer to questions such as "Just how honest was Abe?", "What the heck is a lobbyist?" and "Can Arnie be president?", then this is the book for you.
