    Hamilton get V8s

Hamilton won the rights to host the v8s street race for the next 8 years, how fucken cool is that !! Auckland couldnt (to many lefty;s), Wellington Couldnt (even more leftys) But Hammy is all go, bloody Fantastic. Cant wait to see where the course will be, there is some great options around the city, my pick would be around Cobham Drive super fast smooth corners, should be great.
Ive run out of fucks to give

Isn't It still with a resource consent depending for Hamilton? Which is why Auckland and Wellington lost out (weren't approved).

But I guess Hamilton is a more of a "lets make it happen" type. Which is all GOOD!

    Good on the 'tron.

Hopefully they do a great job of it and show the dip-shits in Auckland who were afraid that they may be 10 minutes late for their weekend pilates class, or that the V8's may cause their post workout latte to vibrate dangerously what the hell they missed out on. The Auckland course would've gone right past my apartment too >_<

Great news! Being from Welly, its sad we couldnt get our act together to host. The beauty of NZ is that nothings to far away; so no problem - should be a few trips to Hamilton on the cards....

This off nzoom "President of the Waikato Chamber of Commerce, Steven Saunders, was quoted in the New Zealand Herald as saying there was an understanding that resource consent for the event would be granted, despite the need to still complete a public consultation process."

Very surprised to hear this, good news though. Still got a long way to go if resource consent hasn't been granted yet. Wouldn't be holding my breath.

Would have thought that after all the hype of welly and auckers that no other cities would be stuffed with trying to put on a street race. Will have to wait and see. Wonder where this leaves hampton downs?

    Bloody EXCELLENT!!!!!
These Auckland council tossers that are our "representatives" need to be sent to Bali with a kilo of coke hidden on the fuckers.

At least H'town has some sense and intelligence left!!! Good on them!

Whadda you mean! Harris St as the front straight - air time over the rail tracks...out to Pukemiro and onto SH22....back to Huntly on Heatherington Rd.It'd make Bathurst look like a dirt oval.

Mental note to self... stay away from Motu...

All I can say is it's brilliant that NZ will earn a little respect by actually gaining consent to have a street race. Can just imagine Aussie talkback radio hosts if we didn't. And it will show more of our country on TV by being somewhere other than a closed race circuit or in Auckland. I think it's a darn good result, and even though I'm not a big fan of V8 tank racing, I'm still a motor racing fan through and through.

I might have to make the long trek up to see it one year, stopping off at various points of interest on the way up, make a week of it!

Oh no Swoop, you can't go saying bad things like that about them. You might upset all the cry baby do-gooder lefties here. However, I believe a public stoning would be more appropriate. Only the people that wish to participate would throw stones - diplomacy in action.

Don't be too hard on those Council cunts. They worked really hard to get us the Lantern Festival.

Greenie naysayers still to get past yet!

I don't want to rain on Hamilton's parade but they still haven't got past the naysayers in the public with the RMA yet have they?
You can't do anything today without some lefty green prick screaming "NO" not in my back yard! Bloody idiots. John.
