    ENV price released

According to initial indications, Intelligent Energy’s ENV fuel cell motorbike will be on sale from mid-2007 at a price of approximately £5,250 (NZD 14,750).

The ENV’s hydrogen-cell can run for around four hours (a range of about 100 miles) before refuelling and the bike has a maximum speed of 50mph. At present there are few refuelling stations available – so perhaps you would want to live in range of Hornchurch in Essex, which sports a BP garage with this capability, as the fuel-cell buses being trialled in London refuel there.

Initially the bike will be made available to fleet customers in Europe and North America before going on general sale in 2008.

That is a major problem with the planned Hydrogen economy and a good watch is "Who killed the electric car?" a documentary which covers electric, Hybrid and Hydrogen powered vehicles.

What major problem? The range of 100 miles or the fact that it takes 4 HOURS to get that far?

Fark, $15k for something that can only do 25mph? If I wanted to go that slow I'd buy a GN for $3k instead.
