The scariest thing would be the threat to accumulating demerit points!!!! Thanks very much for the offer - I have always wondered what it might be like to ride something like that even though I'm sure its not something I would want as my own bike. Once you've got used to the relative boredom of riding the Transalp beside me you might start to realise there are other things once the body gets sick of the crouch!!! (might need a few more cubes for you though!!)

i agree entirely........i have ridden the TLS huge distances in one day but as i get older the stops become more frequent......cant see myself ever parting with it as 1 its the most fun ive ever had on two wheels 2 ive spent an awful lot of money on after-market stuff for it that i will never get back but enjoy the fact thats its a bit different than anything else i come across...have given it a bit of thought and something like a triumph tiger etc will one day be sharing the garage with the TL..................sometimes i pass those turn-offs down gravel roads and a sigh emits......![]()

I know how you feel, I feel the same with the VTR for the same reasons, I haven't done huge distances on the VTR But I find it comfortable enough with a short break here and there... (usually at the fuel top ups)
I will admit I never test rode a TLS so I can't really compare. My theory is every has there own comfort zone and riding position what you find comfortable I may find it totally uncomfy... blah blah blah
where did you get the wheels polished on the VTR.....and how much..?

I bought it like that the last owner done that... They do look kewl... but means you gotta keep them clean... which well I don't really mind
I only added the bubble fairing wheel hugger, scott oiler and Heated grips oh and pack rack
They do look nice.........was thinking about black chrome but cant remember the tech name for it.......will go post up a new thread as someone will know

Mate, the Storm is luxery compared to the TL, mind you I am talking about the series2 storm which had taller clipons and were 15* less rake, but still the series1 was more comphy than a TL.
next mods you need is clear indicators and a set of cans
ps: I sold the storm last year
cheers DD
