as a comparison, one of the guys at the aero club is off to botswana to fly. there is no pay, just expenses. life is reasonably tough, and the place is pretty unforgiving. he's going for the experience, it's going to cost him $10k (he's already spent $70k) and he will find that there is a huge world out there, and that stooging around in your 172 in NZ is not the be all. it just takes a leap of faith. RG, the question is, do you have the ablilty to make that leap? another comparison - BMX pro racers. sleep in their cars, on the floor of mates places. travel all over the states and aussie chasing $500 purses. they've taken the leap though, and are loving it. my cousin did an apprentiship at a gearbox overhaul shop in hamilton. went to europe at 19 and turned up at alain prosts F1 team on a practice day. got a job sweeping the floor. 1 year later had his F1 test driver's licence, and was building gearboxes for a leading F1 team.

i recall a comment on the WSB a couple of weeks ago - that guys who spent too long on the 250s and supersports had difficulty changing their style to ride the superbikes! interesting.... sure look up to the guys on the 1000's, but NEVER forget - they were once 16 years old wondering what they were going to do.......

I have seen him ride, and YES, he can ride!

I just cannot justify giving away any more time or money to people on here, I started helping people on here due to the Jason McEwan campaign from last year, and I always give back more than I take!

There are a bunch of people on this board who have shit loads of cash, and if they choose to get in behind a rider and help pay his bills then fantastic, I will do what ever I can to help these young guys.

All it will take is the lease fee from a sponsor and the same amount again to run it- Really seems like a No Brainer to me, but I guess talk is cheep!

How can you seriously say you believe in your self but are not prepared to spend? That is a very strange statement

    I do believe in myself.

But i aint magic and cant pull money off a tree.

Businesses don't take 16yo fallas very seriously when i ask them to support me.

I am lucky with what support i have, that came from my mother working at CanBrace.

but it is very minimal as to what i want/need

Very direct and very clear that statement! The one I was commenting read a little bit like you want the world but are not prepered to pay for it! Your time will come as long as you work at it

Regarding your PM, if it is available you can have for running costs

RG you complain about money, so why not get another job I work seven days and I worked from 11am till close at hells pizza yesterday.
Like white trash said back your self. I have done two races on a zxr250 and now one a gsxr600. Its there if you want it, you just have to get it.

getting out there and doing it is all great and well,

but staying upright and getting a good finsh is a completly different story!

shaun had like $20k in debt when he went to jap. Crashing is all apart of it, I crashed twice last weekend once from giving it too much on an exit and the other from hitting a bump when I was leaned over and the front tucked. Some body who never makes mistakes has never tryed something new.
