Heard on the radio about 7.00 taday. There has been a big spill on the Taka's. Police are currently trying to get it cleared. Take care out there folks.

Yeah-its not as if gas tanks are exposed on the outsides of cars and trucks. Personally, I blame skelstar.

Cheers for the heads up gov

I fell off on one. What happens is the tanks get ripped open when the driver clips the bank (what happened in my case), or the driver forgets to replace the cap (or sometimes rag) after filling.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

also they get over filled some times in featherston...and as they start climbing and the fuel starts sloshing around going around corners the fuel goes out the over flow....and theres no catch bottles...

I've seen plenty of exposed diesel tanks on trucks mate. You may want to open thine eyes a little.

Vas is from Wianui, "exposed" there means "easily stolen".

yep, most truck tanks are beneath the "box", not built into the body like with a car. most lose their caps somehow [stolen, taken off and forgotten] many have them chained on, which helps. when im filling a diesel, i try and let the froth die down and then put a little more in. im gonna start stopping at the first click though.
diesel is slippery shit....ive nearly slipped over at work racing around the forecourt in the rain. and no matter how hard so scrub, it doesnt come out.

If you'd banned diesel, the sky would be safe...
