Had a pleasant ride this morning thanks, alas while I was out plans had been made and was unable to get to BBQ.
Doesn't "expecting the unexpected" make the
    unexpected expected?

    Average Joni, average.

I had a good day, thanks guys. Good ride around the hills to Diamond Harbour earlier in the afternoon, then standing around in the sun chatting with a whole bunch of people I'd never met before ('cept SpeedyGirl). Glad I made the effort, it was good to finally meet up with some of the regulars after being a member over a year myself! And the weather was good to boot, got a little bit of a red nose from standing in the sun!

    Red face

Well, I did go to the BBQ, didn't spend much time there though as the kids wanted to play on the playground waaaaaay over the other side of the park. Arrived feeling and looking pretty nackered after racing- had a good day racing, managed to get the bike running sweet and found a couple of peices to the arm pump puzzle. Definitely enjoying the Monster.

Anyway, arrived, drank a glass of coke, ate a couple of bits of steak, and then went to keep an eye on the kids. Sorry if I was a bit rude, was nackered. I've said that b4 haven't I.... oh dear. Had a great time playing with the kids, and me being me I was trying out some of the payground equipment. There was this one thing with poles at each end and rings in between- the idea being that you swung hand over hand using the rings to get to the far end. The rings were high enough that my feet were maybe a metre off the ground. I had tried it several times, but with my hands weakend by the days racing I just couldn't do it- left hand always lost grip. Just before we left I thought I'd have another crack at it. Climbed up the pole, swung out on one hand, lost grip with the other, started to do a back flip and hit head pretty hard on the bark chip.

The next thing I knew Dangerous was asking me if I was all right. I couldn't remember quite where I was, as we walked back to the cars I was told that I had been racing- couldn't remember it at all, but I could see my van with the bike in it, and I was all sticky from racing so I figured it must be right. We decided I shouldn't drive, but the lack of spare people left to drive me meant that Speedygirls car would have to be left behind. Dangerous started driving me home, but after a couple of minutes my memory came back, and not wanting to put people to any trouble I decided to drive home very carefully following MrsB and the kids. Dumb idea I know.

So there you go, a good laugh for your Sunday morning! The weird thing today is that my eyes are all puffed up- not sure what thats all about:spudwhat:
