Should I go for a blat

All my staff got sent home about 20 minutes ago for serious misconduct... won't hear back from the director until tomorrow as to whether he wants them to return to work or not...

So I have a free afternoon...

Should I start hunting for more staff... (very possible my staff won't be returning ) or should I be a lazy ass and just hope for the best and go home early and go for a ride?

You should definately go for a blat. It'd be rude not too!

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

lol I'm not dogging on my staff... they get me lots of money! (well not lots... but more than my last job lol). All I will say is that behind the scenes money was changing hands on "deals" they were making amongst themselves that "could" have violated the privacy act... but DID'NT. All of this was news to me... which ofcourse makes me look like a shit manager... but kept me out of the dog box...

I know my boss... and if he was going to fire them he would have done it on the spot... I think (think??) he sent them home to scare the crap out of them... I personally don't see what the problem was... sure the issue could have escalated into a big problem... but it was stopped well before that stage... so "serious misconduct' was not the term he should have used...

But they are shitting themselves... the whole office is in "panic" mode cause without my staff we have no clients, no clients = no money.

I'm the only one who doesn't seem to care too much... if he does actually fire them tomorrow, then I'll be spewing fire and brimstone...

I'm liking the idea of going for a ride... no point in trying to find new staff until I know for sure... I've spent the last 30 minutes outside trying to stop them from crying and passing the buck... so I wanna have a "stress release ride"

or worse yet one of the stupid little niggly bits break... and you can't fix it... like the gear lever... or a stupid little piece that goes onto the brakes... or the clutch lever lol... VERY hard to fix...
