You need cats like ours.
A siamese with a mental problem and a moggie with a fetish for hair ties
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
umm i vote for the black and white female in the last picture.

I'm taking Andy to look at them on Saturday and we can decide then. I'm pretty sure I want the grey/black and white female and the tabby and white male, but he likes the look of the splodgy one - I'm hoping I can talk him into taking three... but then I also like the tabby male too!
We have an 18 month old female now, she's quite smoochy (hence the name Smooch) but she's got a bad habit of waking around 5am and clawing shit ou of the couch! We have an open plan house so have had to put a large sheet of board over the kitchen opening to keep her out - but then she scratches at the carpet instead! She has a cat door and is given food and water so there is no reason for her to do it, I think she just likes making someone get up and pay attention to her. We're hoping she WON'T teach the new kittens her bad habits...
Oh, and she likes brocolli too - see the attached shot. Weird! The other shot is of her lording it over the sheep!

I know Im asking what others have asked... but if you are trying for 3, why not just go for the whole four?
I mean I can undertsand 2... but the 3 confuses me... the poor little bugger left behind![]()

Do you have a scratching post for her? If not, get one (a tall one with lots of platforms) - they really help.
You can get catnip spray which is great for attracting cats to where you WANT them to claw and for taking their minds off the places they're not supposed to be clawing.
I always trained ours by picking them up when they were scratching people stuff and rubbing their paws/claws down the scratching post. They get the idea after a few times - they don't like it (being taught what to do) but they do get it! Anyone who says you can't train cats doesn't know cats!
As for the veggies thing - Bucket loves peas and sweetcorn. She likes to chase them when you throw them. She stomps on them and eats them from in the middle of her paws! Can't give her too much sweetcorn tho cos it doesn't agree too well with her...and a Persian with a poorly botty is not a good thing.....! (she's the one in my pic BTW)
I'd agree with the others about the 2 or 3 thing - don't leave just one behind. It's better to split the family up into 2 lots of 2 than leave one on its own. And trust me, 4 cats is one too many!!!
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
Been know to have that problem myself in another life.![]()

There are actually FIVE kittens there - I didn't photograph the white one as we weren't keen on a pure white cat. (They show the dirt too much!) So even if we take three, there will still be two left - and we are certainly not taking all five! I was very pleased that while I was there the other day a woman rang up wanting an older cat because they have this gorgeous one that has similar colourings to Smooch and she has been there a year. She was coming to look at her that afternoon and I hope she took her as she was gorgeous - don't know why no one had wanted her.

plus pure whites can have problems...our neighbours one was deaf. best of luck with whatever you decide, and post photos!!
catmad...we have a scratching post for our 3, but only the girl uses it...the boys make use of the carpet in one bathroom and the couch/armchairs/kitchen chairs. our youngest did teach himself to climb my net curtains, but a few squirts with water soon cured that!

We DO squirt her with water every time she scratches the furniture but she seems to like it! I think she just wants attention, but at 5am or thereabouts, I'm not that keen to get up and play!
Off to see them and make up our minds tomorrow afternoon - probably will only take TWO - leaving THREE behind!

She just bangs on the door to be let in if we shut her out, plus there are quite a few cats in the area now and I'd be worried she'd have no escape route if one attacked her. She always belts in through the cat door and hides under our bed if they chase her!
She was pretty good last night - woke me up around 5am bringing home a moth, so I turned the outside light off automatic in the end as she was setting it off to make the moths come! Then she slept and was still on the bed when we woke up.
Another few hours and we will hopefully have made up our minds as to which kittens we'll be taking!

Just take all 5 of them... so what if the white one gets a tad dirty...
it will learn to wash its self......... or the other 4 can do it for it.
I did like pic 4 as well....... cos they looked alert and eyeballing you...
Good luck in your decision, which ever putty cats you go for....
They are going to a good home.
