Been caught in some rain last week...in one case it was pissing down hard-out.
The fairing will keep the rain off it as long as you are moving.

I was about 3 km away when the screamer first sounded off whch is testimony to how good the Escort is. The cop had left the radar going whilst he was booking someone so only needed to hit cancel/mute once and no further noise!

The clear case is a close enough fit that you can still press the cancel button on the back of the detector. The only thing I had to do was to stick a tiny square of clear adhesive plastic on the top of the detector because the clear case was rubbing on it slightly and I didn't want it to rub the paint off.

The screen`s one of those dubble-bubble types...not too high, but high enough to stop the buffeting around the helmet at 120k+, like what I was getting with the standard one.
