    Fan-bloody-tastic!!!
    Nice stuff.

Btw, has your mate painted other helmets before? The reason I ask is the solvents can weaken the structure of some helmets if not done correctly...
Not the sort of thing approached lightly!

Is it a fibreglass or plastic shell? Usually fibreglass is much more expensive, you shouldn't paint plastic helmets as the paint can comprimise the strength of the shell (according to the local bike shops)

carbon hat mate and yep the guy that painted it knows his shit, even rang the maker to sus out the dos and donts, we painted 2 coats over the hat without touching the clear or taking the decals off the hat, then a light sand and the art was applied, after that it was sent to a spray booth for two coats of clear and baked at a very low temp, then left for two days to harden. its sweet as.
btw.... the paints chosen were non eching.
    it just is.

    Nice.
Imagine if your bike was the same. That would look cool.

Im up in Masterton for a week beginning of Dec to visit family in law and spend a couple day fishing out at Castle. Mind if I meet up with your airbrushing mate and ask him a few things?
