    250 prices?

I originally got into bikes about 8 years ago, when learners were restricted to 250cc and prices for early 90's 250 4 cylinder sportsbikes were around 4-5k...

Now I'm back looking for a cheap commuter under $3k, and keep seeing some of these previously pricey bikes come up in my searches - bikes like the MC22 CBR250RR and ZXR250C. Even some 07-08 model Ninja 250s for $3500? Sounds like a steal to me?
Initially I look at the bike and look at the price and can't help but think, 'must be something wrong with it', because I'm used to seeing these bikes go for well over my intended budget.

But have I just been out of the market too long, has the LAMS law really changed the prices of 250s etc that much? Are the old 250 4's now 'cheap' because no one actually wants to buy them if they've got a choice??
    Where there's a will, there's a way.
There's also an inheritance, which comes in handy.

There are no new CBR250RR's, so I suspect it is just reflecting that they are getting older and older. They do sell a new CB250R now, which might show up in the markets over the next couple of years.
