Crash near M.A.T.E.S. Rally at Waikaia (28 October)

Heard that there was a car vs motorbike type crash about 6km from the above rally on the Riversdale-Waikaia road.

Rider and pillion both injured but believed to be not too bad.

It's a good road, only about 6 bends in 15km of toad and little travelled, will be interesting to see what happened.

On another note, last weekend the booze-bus guys got a 14 year old drunk rider of a small trail-bike in Kaitangata - and he had a drunk disqualified 16 years old pillion AND tried to do a runner - must have been spending too much time reading 'doing runner' posts on KB!

Sheesh, I wonder how the parents never noticed him riding around drunk on the streets late at night.? (Maybe 'noticed' should be replaced with 'cared'?)

That Riversdale-Waikaia road is almost straight, and even where there are bends there is good visibilty. I'll wait to hear more about this one.

As for the 14 year old drunk rider, I hope that whoever supplied him with alcohol gets prosecuted as well.
    Time to ride

Forgot to add to first post: Saw Woody-bee heading for the rally on her nice new Triumph, followed her in my 'work' car but not sure if she knew it was me. Fingers crossed she got there (and back) o.k.

You should have made yourself known, you had the whistles and bells to get her attention.
