    How good is Rossi?

We've had 81 990cc four-stroke races in MotoGP with one more coming up. The winners' honour roll over that time looks like this:

    Rossi 45 wins
    Gibernau 8 wins
    Capirossi 6
    Melandri 5
    Biaggi 5
    Barros 3
    Hayden 3
    Tamada 2
    Pedrosa 2
    Elias 1
    Ukawa 1

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

That's why I want to see him win the championship this year (among other reasons), a total whitewash of the 990cc MotoGP era.

He is the best, and come hell or high water I'm going to see him at his home track before he retires.

    He's the best; probably ever.

And apparently he can put a few away as well. There's a story that he got little Dani absolutely smashed after his first world title.

Not really, Schumaker(?) is generally thought now to have been a bit too "win at all cost". Almost to the extent of being a cheat.

Rossi has always given the impression that he's having a great time.

As for Rossi's skulling skills, he did used to have a brewery (Nastro Azzura?) for a sponsor so he could practice cheap enough.

I meant in terms of winning not "how' they win...

*doesn't know fuckall about car racing other than schaumaker being pretty damn good and winning all the time*
