I met Vicki after we both came back from the big OE experience. Both were broke!

I used to work with her sister and one of the blokes said to me on my second day back (remember when companies held your job while you went and drank all the beer in germany?) at work... "$$$$'s sister works here now" Oh, I said, Dos she look like her sister? Nah! She is dark haired and (insert full description here but it would bore you all so i won't)

Needless to say I shuffled off to look at her...

She had her back to me but it was like being struck by lightening.. A little speech bubble appeared above my head and informed me "this is the woman you will marry" ... Love at first sight!

Needless to say she needed a bit more convincing. Especially as I had a totally undeserved reputation.. I mean I wish I HAD done half those things..

But, one day she had too much week left at the end of her pay and accepted an invite out for a drink and to listen to some god awful dorkland band in a pub that since caught fire and fell down....

Went out, lived together, married 1980. Still married, still in love, still broke...

Just the usual: saw each other at a bonfire,met at a blind date, went out for a bit, split,married others, split, re-met 26 years later, went to Las Vegas and got married three years ago. :cool2: (same place as Brittany Spiers, hope ours lasts a bit longer!)

Mine was the result of a bit of match making from my ex girlfriend. I'm still really good friends with my ex (who also happens to be my wifes best friend) and she decided we should meet each other and go to dancing lessons as a non-commital way to spend some time together. after 6 months I asked her out (I'm so slow that my wife apparently asked my ex whether I was gay to account for my lack of inaction- true story, told at my wedding!), dated for 2 1/2 years, engaged for 6 months, married on June 12 (I now have a massive 25 days of experience in the marriage field) and now we're living together and loving it!

well actually I was pissed as a fart and dancing like a mad irishman in a local night club. She reckoned I looked like some movie star Patrick summat -How can ya resist a line like that. --OHH and she shouted me rum n cokes the rest of the nite

First met Ang at Candios nightclub in Wellington , She was out on a hens night. Brought her a drink and had a dance. Thought things were going pretty well ...
Couple night's later I give her a call. Talked for about 20 mins or so , Said she was too busy with work / uni to go out. Didn't think any more of it.
About a month later I go to a mate's 21st , Ang is there with one of her mates . We have a few drinks (Ok, lots and lots) and start dancing around. One thing led to another so I end up going back to her place , ended up talking a lot. Stayed the night, the next day she drops me home on her Xj600 motorcycle. I was very impressed !(She got me into motorcycles as well as Jim2).
Couple of days later I moved in. Brought a motorcycle shorlty after.
Been together 15 years yesterday (married 5).
I have the prefect wife (hey , she's into motorcycles and still puts up with me.)
