    Good driving music....your recommendations!

righty....lookin for inspiration here guys...whats some of your favourite highway music? just watched the cars movie and discovered brad paisley, also like tom cochrane [life is a highway]. prefer soft rock/country type stuff, not too dull, not too loud [ie, no dixie chicks or iron maiden etc]

Hard house is great...if you want to lose your licence. Leftfield (leftism) is great groooove music. Deep Purple - Highway Star or Space Trucking are both brilliant.

    but as per your specs...

Steve Miller Band, Bad Company, Lyrnrd Skynrd, BTO etc are all middle of the road but rocking enough to keep the juices flowing.

Canned Heat - "On the road again" and all the rest of their Best Of album. Mellow yet groovy and driving.

Alot of Everlast's (aka Whitey Ford) is really good. Great mellow out music. Also good on a drive if you need to relax.
