Taupo corner names, 3.4km track

I've lost count of the times I've tried to describe which corner I'm talking about, or trying to work out which one someone else is referring to.

Turn 7 has become (for us in Vegas) "Steve&Gav's corner"...but that don't mean diddly squat to the rest of yas...

So, suggestions for naming the turns?

Turn 8 could be Gliders
Turn 12 could be Old Exit
Turn 13 could be Old Entry
Turn 14 is The Sweeper
Turn 15 could be God's Bend (Kevin Schwantz "see God, then back off")
Turn 17 could be Drag Strip

'Course, it don't mean they'd become official or nuffink, just for us KBrs to refer to 'em easier... Plus it starts adding a bit of history & ownership to the place...

Comparing the design of Puke and Taupo, Taupo was designed by engineers etc,
Puke was designed by a farmer who dropped an elastic band on the ground.. upon looking at it though, "Hey, a speedway that isn't a perfect oval"

chatted with Tboy yesterday, and we decided;

Turn 4 could be Humpy
Turn 7 could be Plowmans (agricultural machinery has been known to plow around there)
Turn 10 could be Flip
Turn 11 could be Flop

Turn two belongs to me because I put a nice big mark across it with my crash bungs as I was headed across to check out the consistency of the dirt trap. Dirt trap passed inspection!!

that was you then... you ok? how's the bike?

I'm fine. No injuries at all. Had really good crash bungs on the bike and damage was fairly minimal. Slightly bent bars and back brake lever. Dinged end can and minor scuffing on belly pan, plus of course severly dented pride!!!

I tend to disagree on that one, i know two certain individuals who owned that corner big time as in pulled out of the pits at the "start" of the session and proceeded to fall off at turn two
