    Kawasaki to boost motorcycle output

Kawasaki has announced plans to increase their annual output of motorcycles over the next five years from 200,000 currently to 300,000 units in 2010.

To do this, the company plans to invest 50 billion yen in their Akashi Works plant, bringing together their processing and assembly operations for crankshafts and other engine parts to a single location. There are also plans to launch development of next-generation motorcycles, such as hybrid models and electric vehicles.
