Anyone whos willing or even able to jump on a GP bike and rag the arse of it deserves whatever they win.
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..
The Honda Hayden was riding was a disadvantage. Hayden had to overcome Honda before he could compete with the other riders. New parts every week and having to take backwards steps every time something didn't work, while the guys he was riding against generally got better every week. Except the Yamaha which went backwards more than once and Edwards' performance was probably more representative of the real performance of the Yamaha than Rossi's. ROssi is worth at least 2 seconds a lap.
Hopefully Hayden will now be able to tell HRC to take their test and development parts and shove them up their arse, much like like Doohan used to tell HRC.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
Doohan used to stick HRC parts up his arse?
why?
Can't you just see the RCV lying on its side in the next frame with Nicky trapped under it and Dani sprinting off yelling, "Feets don't fail me now!"?

Awesome pic!

Damn I wish I could do that... so much bike control
I noticed a comment about Doohan- I read an article where they compared Rossi and Doohan. The basic idea was that Rossi loves racing, he enjoys it and he has a great time doing it and he has never seriously injured himself, while Doohan rode like he was being chased by his own demons, didn't seem to have a great time doing it, and did a fair bit of damage to himself in the process. Very different personalities.

Christ yes I was around before Mert Lawill was doing his thing in On Any Sunday, but then Gaz you and Gat were around long before me cheering them on when they were riding Triumph twins and stuff like that in USA. Even though I'm a 60's-70's child I am from the plastic era of Japanese bikes.

Which sort of reminds me about a Gary Player golf story. Player had just won another major as a result of sinking a seemingly impossible putt. The comentator said to him words to the effect, "Sinking that putt was really lucky."
Player replied, "Yeah, the more I practice the luckier I get."
Perhaps we mortals don't always fully understand what we're looking at. I'm still amazed at Milandri's flourish at the finish of the Aust GP...
Fact is most of those guys can ride like that... Some (eg Biaggi) are very smooth, some (eg Hayden) can slide it, others (eg Rossi) can do it all.
