Thanks for all your thoughts and messages - i will pass them onto John tomorrow - he is basically paralysed from the top of his beer gut down. It is nice to know that so many of you think so much of him - I certainly do. He has been my rock for the last 3 years and I can't imagine my life without him. So I am not going too. Whatever happens I will be there with him and together we will get through this. If anyone wants to talk to him the phone number is 03 364 0640 and either ask for him by name or currently he is on ext 89319 - this phone is in his room and he has a nurse there most of the time - is in a side room - the days and nights are long when you are flat on your back and can't move - he would love to hear from you guys and girls

cheers mrs inline four - aka Donna

Are you absolutely sure he is up for phone calls?

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

John, it looks like you have a long stay ahead of you. MrsB and I are thinking of you, and I'll be popping over to meet you soon- you're definitely one of KB's more colourful characters, so it'll be great to put a face to the name... just wish it could be under better circumstances.

From experience I know that hospital is a bloody boring place, so I guess it's up to the Chch KB'ers to make sure you have someone to talk shit with on a regular basis. I guess you'll be kept fairly busy with rehab etc- you are in the best place, it's just a bugger it's got to be so far from home.

See you soon matey. Stay strong.

    Cool

I have rung and left a wee message via a nurse in his room.

Inlinefour - the next few months are going to be tough on you.........
but I know that you will get throu it..... you are a strong dude...

If you decide later on much further down the track, to transfer up to the Otara spinal clinic which is closer to New Plymouth than what Chch is.... you will get to see another lot of us coming to visit you.

Donna - if there is anything any one of us on here can do to help....
no matter what it is.... just ask.......
