Will be doing it for the first time on two wheels this Christmas - can't wait!!
    It'll be good!

I simply had no idea what it was like. I have not been that way since I was maybe 10 years old. I remember stopping at the Methanex plant, not much else.

I rate it with East Cape.

    Uh... Don't know those places.

But correct, that is no Mokau, that picture is at side road coming off SH45.

This is the sunset at Mokau.

Nice to see you at Bulls and again at Trackday....you must have done a few miles! How did your pillion find it on the back for that long?

Yeah, I keep forgetting to look at the odo, I knew what it said on Saturday morning though. It has two trip meters, I should have used both, one for fuel, one for the whole trip.

Fine, the blinky fuel light comes was coming on at 200km, so we have to stop often anyway. What kills us both is straight roads, lucky that was only the blasted straights out of Wellington anyway. No movement equals pain. I was getting great economy out of it, I can make the blinky fuel light come on after 165km in normal (Read, the 'rapa and the hill) circumstances. I have not explored the depths of the 'i'm not blinking anymore, I'm on solid now because I'm getting really thirsty' fuel light yet.
