    Cager given the learn!

When I arrived at school (work) yesterday, several staff members asked me why hXc had stopped in the middle of the school driveway and proceeded to hold up traffic.. apparently he had ridden in to school, stopped, dismounted, spoken to the driver of the car behind him, got back on his bike and ridden off to the student bike park.

I, of course, had no idea why he'd done that.

After school, hXc told us that he had got fed up with this particular teacher.
It appears that most mornings they are at the same intersection at the same time, the teacher turning left into this particular road, while hXc is turning right. The teacher chooses to not give way to the motorcyclist and proceeds through the intersection, more than once hXc has had to take evasive action to avoid becoming a door ornament on this teacher's car. Yesterday was no different.

hXc passed the teacher, then held him up in the driveway to tell him that maybe he needed to reread the road code. Fairy snuff, thinks I.
Turns out that at staff briefing, said teacher thought that perhaps this unknown student should be found and disciplinary action taken against him... enter, one staff member, who used to ride bikes quite some time ago (1970's). He asked the teacher to explain what had happened...
It ended with the teacher getting a lecture on the road rules, his style of driving, the need to protect the more vulnerable members of our society, and the rights of motorcyclists, scooter riders and cyclists on our roads!

    Score - teacher 0, motorcyclists 1

Beat me to it! I was meaning to put a post up about this. Yesterday, I was waiting all day for a summons to a senior manager to be dealt with, but alas, it didn't happen. I was rather disapointed, but I guess it's better that they don't get involved.

The said teacher involved, does not know who I am, personally, but it would not be hard to find out. It is just something that happens all to regularly and I get sick of it. So yesterday, I told him what to do about it ("Learn the fucking road rules! *Insert thumbs up here*).

It looks as if he got put in his place, and I shall be awaiting the next time we rendez-vous at that particular intersection and see if he has learnt his lesson. If not, then I will be doing something about it, on a higher scale.

Peace hath higher tests of manhood

A good outcome (so far). I await developments....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Good stuff! Glad to see that a pupil can give a teacher the learn.

Waahh! Don't lump all teachers as retards and bike ignoring gits - I'm in that profession and like all sections of society, it's filled with the retrogrades as well!

Glad to hear that particular person got a refresher in the road rules and someone standing up for road user rights (biker or no!) mebbe get McJim's moving evidence camera and take a shot of offending, send clip to proper authorities and allow letter to appear in mail!

Congrats to hxc for showing restraint and not forcing the issue on the road (bikes vs cages doesn't work out so well usually) If'n this particular gormless and feckless idiot pursues a vendetta, I'm sure peaceful solutions will come about ...

yea fair enough we do get a few good ones.

BUT the other day we got something back cos the sound wasnt working - they didnt know about the volume knob - $60+gst of tax payers (more precisely YOUR kids education) money please

and that example isnt a once off thing either there are many more where they are too dumb/too lazy to sort it out themselves so they send it to us claiming its "warranty" and then dont want to foot the bill ("thats ok we'll just keep it here" "oh.....")

makes me sick to use tax payers $$$ like that but its part of my job....

    good luck with the training!
