Perhaps they are NOT from Auckland (this coming from someone who was born and raised here - ME...!!!). The only a**hole pedal bike riders I ever see and nearly run into, seem to think they have a god given right to be at least 3 abreast on any road. I nearly collected on of the b***ards once. It came down to a choice between the oncoming car or one of "them". One of "them" lost out and I kept my line and only just clipped the fool, who violently shook his fist at me, while I had to wipe off the brown stuff running down my legs. This all happened in the blink of an eye and I had virtually no time to react...
As you can guess, I have NO time for them. Although I would never intentionally try to harm them, when/if I hear about any of them getting bowled for a row of sh*tcans, feel little pity given the fact that they don't appear to want to live that much...

The funny thing was, our motorcycle club provides marshalling for them!

I saw some shit cyclists on Saturday. They all came out of a 90' intersection and joined the highway, about 3 abrest, they DID NOT give way to the car coming down the road towards my face and towards them (They didn't look, probably too busy talking) who then jumped on the anchors until I moved over to the left wheel track to give the car driver room and then blew past them. He was rewarded by the cyclists for his not plowing into their lycra clad behinds by rude gestures.
The stupid fucks.
