Like the sound of that, riffer!!
Anything that'll help me keep up with/catch gixxers (750s, that is) on the Taupo straight has got to be good!

Let me know how you go if you get them.

I'm thinking those cams, 4° advance key, freeflow exhaust and a couple sizes up in the main jets you'll be hauling 250 down that straight easy.

Just remember that the RF900, although having the GSXR1100 crank and case doesn't have the GSXR1100 clutch or gears.

Those who've done this in the States have mentioned excessive wear on second gear and clutch due to the irrepressible urge to lift the front end in 2nd gear...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

RF900 2nd gear has a known case hardening problem in the 95 and 96 models (from memory). I understand they're good till about 30,000kms, and if it's near there at the time of purchase you really need to ask and see if it's been fixed yet.

Now I mention it though - I can't find anythig online to back that up...

    Oh god Col.

I just sent it to Rotorua a couple weeks back...

    Where've you been?

Actually (don't laugh) it only has about 2500 kms max in the middle. Heaps on the side though ...

    must amend that commuting/squiding ratio...
