Probably 9.30am give you an hour to get there, we leave Hamilton Motorcycles at 9.15 am so we should all get there in time

    WOW what a day

Great ride guys, perfect day and completely incident free. Not a bad turn out either with 6chris6, affman, Doctor Bob, Dss3, richard... 600 gsx k3,and our mate Tim on his K3 750, XJ1200 dude and ummmm fuck cant remember Oh and me if I forgot someone its cause Im cold and not thinking straight, apologies.
The day started of at 9.15 for the Hamilton contigent and AMAZINGLY the Auckland group were already there at Kopu and not the standard 1/2 late, we headed of over the hill which was in pretty good shape a couple of wet spots but all over no problem, The gixxer boys shot out to lead the group and we didnt see much more of them until Whitianga where we stopped for Lunch at a nice little Cafe, FAST service for richard, we thought we were there for no more than a few minutes and his burger was given to him, unfortunetly while he was tucking into that it was realised it was someone elses "shame"

A mother came out from the Cafe to see if when parking we had managed to wake up the Baby, and sure enough two Ducatis next to the open window of the car woke up Bubs alright and with a smile on his face, good boy, a baby that knows class when he sees it.

After lunch away we went over the Hill towards Coromandel ,nice run and a nice set of cheering sightseeors on the hill watching the bikes come through, good to be appreciated! of course I made it look good and got of the side of the bike a bit, ( I know bloody show off)
Got to Coromandel ,regrouped and travelled down to Kopu, prick of a ride lots of cars.
once in Kopu we fuelled up at Mobil and 4 of my Ducati mates showed up which was great, and then another 20 odd bikes turned up, there were bikes everywhere, bloody fantastic!!!
the Auckland bioys headed Home and the rest of us went on down to Paeroa, My mates 999 got a hole in the radiator which slowed us down a bit but we threw some Wynns in it and he plodded home.
5 of us left and we were eager to get home blasting down the Whitikahu straights and some wanker motorist decided we were going to fast and rang the Cops, so at Gordonton a HP was waiting for us and pulled us over, he said he was looking for a yellow bike that was doing 250km/hour, well it wasnt me I cant go that quick and my Ducati is red, we think we knew who it was though, HP boy couldnt do much so off we went to Hammy.
Good day, perfect conditions ansd great company, I hope all you others had a great ride where ever you went and incident free as well.

Sounds like you guys had fun wish i could have been there, tagging along at roughly legal speeds

XJ1200 guy I assume was MikeL....

I had a great ride to work and back along a small section of Scenic Drive, all of 40mins there and back today :S Still, work was busy enough to stop me thinking too much about the fine weather outside, except when the motorcyclists dropped in, one on a volty and the other on a F650GS Paris-Dakar.... and of course those guys in open toppers too... Looked like it was a great day to be out and about, even saw a 38 Ford V8 and a Chrevolet Master of the same vintage (ish) out during winter!
Queiro voya todo Europa con mi moto.... pero no tengo suficiente tiempo o dinero.....

Cheers guys ride was brilliant, first one i have had in a while and i had heaps of fun. BTW richard = coldkiwi/CK. Day was spectacular if not a little chilli in the morning when starting out but warmed up nicely as the day went. I think my gasket was leaking as bit so down on compression it was like ride a bike geared to rev out at 20 000 but only reving out at 14500. But the leak must have been blocked cause it got a bit better when we headed home. I had a bit lot but need to get out there more i think. Thanks to all the guys who came, was a great day

I think the HP guy was a bit of a dick, He checked everyones licences (except mine cause I lost it) and seemed to grill a couple of the guys.
    Our arguement went like this..............
No way was anyone of us doing that speed, for one the sun was in our eyes as in sunstrike ,and for two we being modern sports bike riders we understand our obligations as citizens of NZ and we in no way would ever ,I say, ever ,contemplate breaking the speed limit at any time any where on any day, and certainly NOT on sunday.

After that we saluted him and kissed his shoes and swore alegiance to the HP god, hitler himself, and carried on our merry happy way,, together as one conforming unit of modern sports bike riders.

HAHAHAHAHAHA i would have loved to have been there. Imagine trying to tell a guy (whose bike can maybe break 190 on a good day, downhill, good tyres and in pefect condition) that he was doing 250. Funny stuff . By the way those three other dukes 1 was a 998 i think but the other two were they 999's or 759's ???? pretty cool stuff!!!!
