Vietnamese “green” bike to reach Europe

French company Espace Loisir has signed an agreement with the Vietnamese inventor of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) motorbike conversion kit to popularize the product in Europe.

The hybrid fuel carburettor - which enables motorbikes to run on both gas and petroleum - was invented by a research team from the University of Danang.

Espace Loisir will launch an advertising campaign in 17 European countries in 2007.

Michel Lefebvre, manager of Espace Loisir said the device could help relieve Europe’s concerns over environmental pollution and energy deficiency because LPG motorbikes saved up to 40 percent of cost and reduced environmental pollution by 30 percent compared to their gasoline counterparts.

If it was a straight LPG conversion you could cut the bottom out of the fuel tank and keep it as a cover shell to go over a couple of linked mini bottles perhaps?
