    more info

Registration is at Sandbar from 9am $10 to register gets you a toy run patch and entry to the bike show after the run. Sausage sizzle and then we leave about 11am heading into town for the pressie giving and bike show, bands etc at Queens Wharf...should be a great day and a good chance to show the rest of Wellington that bike people are the good people we all know...looks like Dom Post paper wil be covering it as well.

This is not a Harley only ride, everyone is welcome and we would love to see as many different makes, models etc a spossible..the more the merrier.

If anyone is feeling left out, look for the Harlety Softail with the plate LAHOG come say Hi.....see you all there
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone

You can decorate your own bike Paul - there are prizes for the "best done-up bike"

Too far off for a last minute decision maker like me to commit, but so far I'm keen.

Does the toy need to be gift wrapped?

No way - I did that once for my club and it was a friggin disaster.

    Tips for future santas

    1. Always try the suit on before you agree - one size does NOT fit all.
    2. If arriving in strange transport - make SURE you can get in and out in a santa suit in a dignified fashion.
    3. Make SURE the transport will run of it's own accord.
    4. Don't drink - a drunk santa is NOT funny
    5. When asking if the kids have been good all year, DO NOT ask them ARE YOU SURE? if they say yes. Mothers do NOT find drunk santas making their kids cry funny (at all)
    6. if you are going to throw out candy as a lolly scramble (from your scrambler) practise riding one handed FIRST.
    7. Make sure the lollies are wrapped UP - don't trust the fucking elves to do that - they have an odd sense of humour.
    8. Don't use really hard sweets unless you are really good at point 6 and are NOT drunk (point 4)
    9. Practise the get away.
    10. make sure the helper is not drunk either...
    11. Don't glue a santa hat to your helmet and travel on the open road - santas need oxygen

    Hope this helps

No - but it's a good idea to put it in a plastic bag. Some folks go mad on huge stuffed animals on the back of their bikes etc but remember these gifts are for a range of kids and who the hell wants a stuffed, soggy, dirty micky mouse with a chewed off leg where the chain got loose when you are 14?

A gift voucher is acceptable - smaller packs of Lego are great (IMHO) and anything else you can carry.

    Room for a pillion?

Claire, a friend of my partner would like to come on the run. Would anyone be prepared to pillion Clair from Lower Hutt on the run?

I can fit her out with helmet, gloves, boots and maybe a jacket.

Send me a pm if poss.

    Cheers

    Lisa and myself will come.

There will be chaos at the Sandbar - there is not that much parking and by the time the Harleys are pointed in the right direction not much room for us to park up. More the merrier so let's all turn up and really stuff up the traffic flow into the city. Sounds dangerous to me having all that iron around and no escape path.
    Here for the ride.
