    Jimmy B Hits Noosa

Well last day in the office, off to Noosa tommorrow and back on the 22 of November.

Cobbers, Im gonna see a Salty, eat a Muddy, catch a Flatty, drink a Bundy and sink a Middy….streuth Digger hope we don’t have a bingle with a bitzer beyond the black stump, if we do Ill be as cross as a frog in a sock, Chuck us a XXXX blue, Im as dry as a poms towel (just practising my Aussie so I don’t stand out like a shag on a rock).

The Klingon was delivered to the panel shop this morning so next time we see the beasty it willl be the new and improved stealth version, cant wait.

Anyone been to Noosa recently, whats good?

Noosa is nice, if a little inundated with fat balding middle-aged people. When I was there the waves weren't quite as world-class as some people say, but sadly my surfing skills are too poor for that to make much of a difference anyway.

Where are you staying? Noosa? Noosa Heads? Noosaville? I stayed in the Breakfree resort-thingy at Noosa Heads, which was actually quite good, although you might be looking for something a bit more upmarket.

While you're there, hire a yacht and explore up the river, if you're into that sort of thing, it's a lot of fun and the fishing (while not nearly up to NZ standard) is very good for Australia.

Have fun, try not to get too crispy in the sun, I'm happy to spend summer in NZ (although I'll be over Brisbane for a couple of weeks come Christmas), it's too bloody hot for me there lol.

    Thanks X

Staying at some apartments on the water called Culgoa Point, sposed to be Noosa Heads, I know its about 15 minutes walk from Hastings street, lifes tough yeah. Pretty basic and self contained but nice enough for us.

Fishing is excellent if you get out wide, last time we caught Pearl Perch (Like Terakihi in taste and looks but on steroids), XOX Snapper, Cobia (Black Kingfish), Red Emporer, Tuna, parrotfish (Great to eat believe it or not, taste like John Dory) and Flathead. Will certainly be into that. Did you get out or go in the river?

Where did you hire the Yacht from?

If you feel like a haircut, go to Beauty On The Move in Noosaville, and get Deb to give you a snazzy trim, and say hi from her little blister for me.

    Thanks Mrs KD,

Mrs JB was lamenting the fact that she had run out of time for a trim before we leave, of course I offered to do it myself but oddly she told me to.....well lets not go there hey

You should love it Jimmy B. Beautiful beach and friendly people. I did a cruise from Fraiser Island through Noosa and down to Surfers. Magic!

Fraser Island is stunning - even saw a "deengo" walking on the beach. And just to show that the world is indeed a small place, bumped into a workmate in the middle of the island.

Tis a strange old world alright especially when you run into people out of context, fear of this occurrence whilst travelling has effective curtailed several of my favourite "party tricks"

Geoff, how far from Noosa is Fraser Isl?

If my "party trick" was taking my P.A when it's supposed to be a business trip, it wouldn't be the only thing which is curtailed. Manhood followed shortly by life I imagine. Although we had a car, we had a coach pick us up from our unit in Noosa and it was a couple of hours or thereabouts. The ferry over to the island only takes about 5 minutes, it's like a landing craft. You can hire a jeep and self-drive, or go in something like an air-conditioned army truck. Very easy to organise when you get there. Just a really nice day trip.

Cheers Mate will look into that when we get there. Haha "party tricks" for me fall just outside the category "I have never done anything that I have regretted while sober"
