Well, to my knowledge there were no crashes in the months up till now.
To put it into context, the road is no rougher than many other country roads, parts of SH16 for example. That still has a 100 limit (touch wood).

It was just aLou (but unfortunately in NZ it's also likely to come true as per the start of the thread).
If somebody binned after the signs had been cut down who would they sue?
I guess SOMEBODY obviously had been prodded into action to put the signs out - possibly some members of the public had complained the road was too rough for the 100k,- 'course if ya just keep close to the speed limit there's no worrries eh?![]()
