Day off work today and got up early to find it raining. Planned a day dicking round on the internet and watching tv.

Meanie had to got up to Turangi to pretend he was working. About 10 he showed up here and the weather looked like it was clearing so out come the bikes. I was quite surprised but with the exception of a couple of showers on the desert road it was clear the whole way. Meanie set a reasonably good pace and we made Turangi in under 2 hours. Ended up going on a bit of a run up western access road which was fun. After the four points tour it felt like about 5 mins on the bikes to be honest but heaps of fun.
