if the all blacks win the world cup then I'll shave my arse.
they are a bunch of chokers when it comes to the crunch, proven time and again.

It would be good to see an AB's 1, 2 finish at the RWC...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
Who gives a rats, noone else in the world takes it as seriously as NZ.
We put whatever it takes into winning, money, training, whatever....
Thats why we beat everyone, when we don't its a day of mourning qnd rightly so given the resources invested.
Its like putting Rossi on his Motogp bike up against me on my K5 Thou....![]()

The biggest difference with this team is Henry's rotation policy allowed to us due to the depth we have. He's obviously learnt from our last RWC failures and come up with solutions.
How do you stop players getting complacent or peaking too early? Easy, you have another player equally as capable ready to take their spot should they falter. Henry has realised that you can't rely on the opposition to provide constant pressure on the players to stimulate growth. Doing so would only create a team that is only good enough to JUST beat the next best team. By creating competition within the team, each player is pushing the other to new heights. As one gets better so must the other to keep his spot (or retake it) and as such players are realising their potential instead of just being good enough to win and then easing off.
What about injuries during the RWC? Once again Henry has a plan and our depth and rotation policy allows replacements to slip in seamlessly. Mixing up the players all the time has also taught the team how to adjust on a game to game basis instead of being locked into a one track "A team" mindset. Sure we still have our key players like Carter, McCaw, Hayman but now their exclusion no longer means the end of the world for us.
What about the chance of being upset by the likes of SA/France/Aus come crunch time at the RWC?? Well the rotation policy also allows Henry to tailor pick the team to suit the opponent where as previously we had to make the round peg fit into the square hole. Our depth also allows a B and C plan from the bench too!
I think Graham Henry has re-written the book on successful Rugby coaching. Not just the rotation thing but also coaching staff, organisation, player prep, rest and taking on the clubs/NZRU to ensure players are rested. Should the AB's win the RWC next year everyone will be trying the same however NZ has an advantage with its depth and also the backing of not just the clubs and management but the entire nation.
Jeez mate, you think far to much to be a rugby supporter![]()

So we win the RWC next time. Big deal. We still have to endure an average Super 14 competition, watch too many NZ v Aus/SA "test" matches and watch provincial rugby (especially age-group footie) die before our eyes while European teams nab our best players. "Supporters" are turning away from rugby in their droves. Do I have an answer? No. But an obsession with winning the RWC doesn't help.
