Why not get a similar bag made? Any one of the many custom T-shirt printing outfits in town should be able to gin one up for you.

My sister realised on a recent trans-tasman flight that she had left a pocket knife in her purse, didnt get picked up at all

And later into the flight someone else behind her exclaimed when they found they had their pocket knife on them as well

Security must be tight at the mo.......

I think the metal detectors have sensitivity dials. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the security staff on duty turned them down to make their jobs easier.

Wonder if I could get my Chinook through?
