Amazing....

What one can do with a digital camera and some software.

I took these shots on the way to a funeral in Tauranga in April. I went out through the back of Kimbolton and Otamakapua, meeting up with SH1 between Ohingaiti and Mangaweka.

I used the Microsoft Digital Image Suite to turn 5 photos into a single panaromic image.

Fantastic set of roads around here and the little settlement of Otamakapua down on the river there has a great road leading up to SH1. Just watch your head on the first left on the way up the hill or head will meet fencepost.

Wow that looks really stunning. It doesn't look quite real; too... `pastoral' to be real in this year 2006.

That photo is the sort of thing that made me want to come back to NZ. Everytime I saw something like that, hell even Lord of the Rings lol, I felt so homesick.

Wow, that is a pretty cool view, road and river! Nice job on the editing together

Depending on which way the wind is coming it looks like it'd be a nice learner spot to do some paragliding and possibly hang gliding, not that I know much though!

Definitely - apart from the bit where you get run over by C130s.
