    I need Codec/s

CAn anyone help me out? I need some codecs for my work PC, but I can't download anything .exe through the firewall. I've been trying to get K-Lite (recommended to me). Can anyone help? If you can send it/them to colapop@paradise.net.nz as a .doc and I'll change the file extension when I get it/them inside the wall....
    Cheers

What kind of files are trying to play?

K-lite is a pretty large codec pack.

DON'T use K-lite. If it's music/videos you are after, try LimeWire.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    You're a tad confused.

K-lite is a video codec pack used to decode video files.

Kazaa Lite/K-lite Pro is a shitty P2P downloader.

Limewire is also rubbish, you should use uTorrent.

Trying to play audio files mostly. (.cda) Although there are others that I'd like to play too...

K-Lite is only about 3 meg innit? It can be emailed to my work email if you like.

I haven't got it on my work PC where I am now.

It's about 18 meg aye, it's packed full with crap like FFDShow and Media Player Classic.

I found a 3.5 meg basic version...so you want it renamed to a .doc and sent to what address just to clarify?

Should have all the important codecs I hope.

Wonder what's wrong with me today...I don't usually do anyone favours let-alone some forum random...

Well you could do that if you like your IT department permanently taking away your internet access.

ain't that the truth... that said, for the mother of all codec packs, you would want to be looking for the CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack).
