I was a little bored last night so I decided to make myself a new wallpaper for my home PC with a "Guzzi V11" theme.

    What you think?

Mainly there was crappiola on TV plus I miss being able to take the V11 out for a ride after seeing all of those magnificent bikes yesterday.

As you can tell I had a good look at it.
It's a real nice bike and needs a small amount of TLC to make it perfect.
I do want the rear hugger as it goes all the way down the front to protect the motor and suspension from crud.
And the motor sounded nice though those carbon can's.

I would say you would get a real nasty felling in the stomach as well.

And I would like to add that the first of the V11's 99-01 had a red frame and the forks are steeper (1deg) and the wheel base is shorter and has a narrower rear rim and had a different gearbox.
It is still a 6 speed and weigh more and is a bit more clunky than the newer ones.
Had a rubber pad on the tank and there clipon's go under the top treble clamp.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Hey Nudes great wallpaper, looks like the difference is mostly cosmetic. the best looker is with clip on bars and the fork mounted light sans faring.
I might have to see if I can change the layout on mine.
I've gone over to the dark side, No Luke I'm not your effing father

    Cheers MM.
It's a little more than just cosmetic. If you see, some have the mega-buck gold Ohlins forks and I think shock too.

Yes LM, I did that research when I looked at buying mine and also the one in ChCh that you guys ended up buying.
I don't think the wheelbase, rear rim etc makes a heck of a lot of difference in normal real situations.
The thing that did sell me on the 2002 model was that some of the earlier ones had factory-induced issues, good to see your 2 are just fine
Just don't do what I did with the rear brake when I put the rear wheel back in without checking the brake plate so it spun around and ripped off the brake line !!

I'd like some louder cans for ours, but Mrs NM says the mortgage etc comes first. (Luckily, I was able to buy 2 trailies though )
With the V11 being a twin piper it makes it mighty expensive.

Can you post some piccies of the Scura, Lemans ?

I have checked and got SDU one, to get the recalls so they should be fine now.
And I will take on board what happened to you.

Any idea of what you want me take pic's of?
I going there on Saturday to show them the pup's again and will post them
    that night.

Post pics of anything to do with Guzzi's. There, how does that sound?
You know how us Guzzi-owners are mad on the MG's.
Seriously though, I'd also love to see what those Carbon cans look like on the machine.

    Cheers.

Read that and checked on SDU bike and hers were around the wrong way.
Mine were the right way around, Guzzi character.
My fast idle had always worked and now hers works better then before.
I never use the fast idle, ya shouldnt have to, injection means the bike should idle hot/cold what ever, both of mine have.

    Ahhh, oops....I have too !!
Alright, let me make Mk 2 version of the wallpaper. It means they'll all get a wee bit smaller though.............................
Here's how I did. Looks okay, but knowing what bike is what is a good Guzzi exercise.
One thing I didn't include was the Californias.
