My main concern will be the range. If the 8V is too hungry the range will fall under 200km as the 4V gets 220km before a top up. 17 litre tank- bullshit, drained mine and got 16.2 l back in it and the 8V has the same tank.
The Daytona compared to the lemans 1000 in fuel consumption is about 20% more, from my experiences.
The 4V Griso has great grunt and goes 0-150km very quickly for a twin, I can't wait to see what the new 8V does!
(Plus the muffler does it for me)
They state in thier blog about it, that it is more fuel effeiciant than the old Griso.
Me wife just told me that she would love to see me on one, but as long as I got a new jacket... mmm now to find some dollars...
yep and that pipe, just has nice lines....

Heh heh, if I can beat Dangerous... I read the drooly gushes about his weekend on the Griso while waiting ever so patiently for my one to arrive...

Hey, how is everybody's prep for the Rattly Tappet coming along?
I decided to challenge myself into getting a hungus old Mk2 with no compression ready to tour the country. Started last week on it, been of the road since '93 took a bit to get a WOF & Reg, pulled the top end down and started the recon job, and dumped the fairings off with a fresh coat of black to my mate for flaming. Will get the engine back together next week and put 500 odd mls on it and torque it down ready to go.. See you's there

Oh, and I fitted a scoop from a Mk5 to make it go faster - especially after it is flamed

    Dark on Guzzi's

At the moment i don't give a rats ass about the new models. my nice new V11 just threw its toys out of the cot, had a hemorage and died. Ive only done 6900 non thrashed ks, sure it's under warranty but they reckon on THREE months to get the parts is this how the importer supports their product?

the oil pump is sick, the cam and a number of other bits are badly pitted. This is the sort of shit i would expect from a Harley ( I have some old parts that call them selves a bike)

Who is the importer of these fine machines (Guzzi) I would really like to talk to them. Maybee i should trade the parts on a Kawaski!
I've gone over to the dark side, No Luke I'm not your effing father

Obviously you misunderstood the saleman. I bet he mentioned the word "character" more than once. Your lucky you have got some some early normally it takes years.
You don't have that sort of problem with harleys. They have japanese support in the parts supply.

Oh lord I got character now! Wouldn't have minded if I was just a weekend hero but I used that bitch to slice through the traffic each day. Pushing it will just be a pain in the ass.

Sorry to hear about your Guzzi woes, Multiman. I've just got mine back from the shop after it blew the front cam-cover oil seal with potential hazardous consequences. Luckily, I got it in time.
Yup, character alright, but my wallet didn't agree..........
