All V11's have the same tank/specs etc... the Ballabio has high bars and a different fairing, the Scura is all matt black with LeMans bars. V11's only very in markings, colours and clipons or straight bars.

My bike is a std V11 Lemans with Ohlins, nero means black... Corsa means track (hence the checkered flag paint job) Roso (as in corsa and Mondello) means red and Mondello is the home town of Guzzi (Mandello del Lario) ... Tenni is the name of the famous Guzzi racer and Breva is the wind that blows over Lake Como ( Lago di Como)
All modles very slightly to fit the name like the Tenni which is in the V8 colours including the number board patch.
    cheers DD

That single plate clutch is so "Yesterday". I wonder if they will still be making Guzzi's when they have the next Guzzi rally in NZ ?

They were/are the only standard model Guzzi to have that single plate clutch.
In the big V format motor that I know of, I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.
You can buy after market kits with the single plate.

The only V11 Sport models with the single-plate clutch were:

    2001 Rosso Mandello
    2002 Scura
2002 Tenni (Special Ed Le Mans)

...all other models come with the standard dual-plate kit.

For some reason only the Scura's (6-8 I think) had the problem.
The reasons are from bad assembly.
Bolts not done up tight and no grease on parts.
Or the clutch basket was to thin and had sharp edge's to start cracking.

    Here are some scary pic's.
    http://www.thomasseibt.de/guzzibilder/index.htm

I would pull it apart to check for cracks and bolts are tight and Loctited.
Or two pull it apart if the clutch got nosier than normal.
Like not all had a problem, just some.
Must have been a new guy on the assembly line.

Just like if you have a problem with the fast idle lever not staying on.
You may find that you have the fast idle return spring and the seat cable spring around the wrong way.
Read that and checked on SDU bike and hers were around the wrong way.
Mine were the right way around, Guzzi character.
My fast idle had always worked and now hers works better then before.

My fast idle works fine too.

What is the advantage of a single plate clutch over a twin-plate?

They are made from AL and are lighter, so the motor can spin up faster.

I believe that if you're wanting the V-11 to rev quicker, then you're on the wrong machine. There are other v-twins which would accomodate this requirement far better.

The idea is good as there is a clutch called a RAM that is built on the same lines and works (better) and I like the idea of less parts to go wrong theory.

And you are right, if you want a rocket to ride buy a R1 or GSX etc.
